Wetheral parish

Wetheral Parish consists of an area of some 5,508 hectares (13,610 acres), located to the east of Carlisle. The parish is composed of 5 wards: Wetheral in the centre, Great Corby to the east (including Burnrigg, Broadwath, Warwick Bridge and parts of Heads Nook), Cumwhinton and Cotehill to the south, Scotby to the west and Aglionby and Warwick-on-Eden to the north.

Whats going on?

Temporary closure of viaduct footpath

The footpath will be closed for a 12 week period commencing mid-February for maintenance work.

Parish Directory Launched

Friday 6th January 2006 sees the launch of the Wetheral Parish Directory. The directory will include details of businesses, organisations, groups, clubs and association from within the parish boundary.

Parish Council Officers

Gillian Kartach resigned as Parish Council Clerk in 2004 after thirteen years in the job. She gave exceptional service during her period of office. We thank her for all she did for Wetheral parish Council and we wish her well in her new post with Eden District Council.
